Forney 140 MIG Welder

So far I have had good luck with this welder using it with flux cored wire.

This welder works great! Comes with regulator valve. Welds thin metal (autobody panels)with the flux core just fine, great penetration on thick metals as well.

The best part about this welder - at least for me - is that it's 120 volts and you don't need a special outlet. Of course it's not really meant for hardcore professional welding, but for hobbyists it's perfect.The one thing I didn't care for is that apparently older models came with a lot more supplies, but with this one you need to go out and purchase just about everything unless you have it already (mask, wire, tanks, etc.). I know these items that were included weren't of the best quality but rather than doing away with them entirely they could have upped their game a bit, in my opinion.Otherwise, it's great that this welder can be used with or without gas, the setup is pretty easy (even for newbies), and it's clearly well built. Looking forward to working on more projects with this!

Easy to set up, very high quality. Only problem is that it blew the 20 amp dedicated breaker in my garage after a bead length of about 2"(see picture) could be my panel. Welded up some plate came out good. Looking forward to using it more. I used a cheap small Hobart 75/25 tank and some .030 wire and it rocks!

This welder is great, I have no complaints. I have welded form 1/16 in all the way to 1/4th inch steel with this and it does its job well. This unit is heavy and seems well constructed. The mig gun and ground clamp has a very good length so I don't have to keep adjusting where the welder is. The duty cycle on this unit is also very good, for the amount of welding that I did, it never stopped to cool down. This plugs into a regular household plug so that is why I initially bought this unit. This is the perfect welder for any garage project!This also comes with a standard pressure regulator and gas line.
