TIG Welding Tungsten Electrode 2% Lanthanated Blue 1/8"x7" 10 pack

Lanthanum oxide is evenly distributed along the length of the electrode, which makes it possible to maintain the initial sharpening of the electrode for a long time during welding. This is a major advantage when welding DC (straight polarity) or AC from improved welding power sources, steels, and stainless steel. When welding on alternating sinusoidal current, the working end of the electrode must have a spherical shape. Compared to cerium and thorium, lanthanum electrodes have less wear on the working end of the electrode.

Great electrodes

Good electrodes. That will come with time. They do pick up a bunch of junk if you weld over dirty metal.

Impressive performance with dc

Lower amps needed, and it still produces a solid arc. Perfect for various materials, including steel.
