With the helix CLT, optrel offers a welding helmet for work under the most difficult conditions. A slide-up helmet with internal ADF that has all the technical features of an optrel helmet:

Helix CLT

Amazing view. Love everything about it. The hardhat is just as comfortable as only using the head gear. Welding for Less had perfect description of every aspect of this helmet. I've been a licenced welder since 1988 and have used every imaginable sheild. This one brings a new world of sight to welding.

I really love Optrel brand but with the helix I think is Down grade from the panoramaxx, the helix feels heavy and the flipping mechanism keeps getting stuck, the view is great but my opinion I stay with the panoramaxx clt

As an avid welding diyer I love this thing. Light and works. I can see much better. It replaces a 25 yr old Jackson. Way better.

You can see colors pretty good

I like that I can see colors and it has a nice wide view speedglass makes a solid product I don’t like it doesn’t have an adjustment to stop it from dropping below my view when I’m flipping it down so I forgot about that when I’m using both hands and try and flip it down and have to lift it back up to see through my view finder it’s awesome though it is heavy

Great slide-up helmet!

This is not my first speedglas and it's as good as any I've ever had and better than anything made my anyone else. I've only used it one day on the job so far but it did great and I'm sure it will continue to. I keep another old helmet for mig or stick, anything that will make spatter. I use my speedglas solely for TIG welding which is 90% of my job. I'd highly recommend it to anyone who tigs for a living. For mig and stick it's great too but you'll go through cover lenses much quicker and they are a little bit pricey.
